TV Already?!

So, on Sunday before church, Colin sat with Jordyn and watched My Friends Tigger & Pooh. This was the first time she's ever watched tv and she LOVED it! She sat there talking to the tv and laughing the whole time... So yesterday I let her watch it again, and then again today! I feel bad plopping her in her bouncy seat in front of the tv, but she has so much fun and it gives me 30 minutes to get stuff done, so I'm doing it anyway!

Over Thanksgiving weekend, my mom was finally able to come out and meet Jordyn! We had a lot of fun that weekend and it definately ended too soon. Jordyn had lots of fun with her Grandma and was pretty grumpy the whole day after Grandma left! The day after Thanksgiving I went and worked at the Disney Store with Colin for a few hours and my mom got to babysit and then she also took care of Jordyn while we put up the Christmas tree. While we were getting the lights out my mom had Jordyn in her bedroom playing, she yelled for us and when we got to her she looks at us and is "Oh, you missed it... She rolled over!" So yes, my mom got to see her roll over for the first time and she did it for Colin that night... She refused to do it for me until yesterday! I can't believe how big she's getting already!

My FAVORITE Picture Yet!

She's SO Big!

So, Jordyn went for her 2 month appointment on Thursday... My oh my I have a big baby! She's 13lbs 14oz! She's 23 1/2 inches long with a head that is 16 3/4 inches! She's in the 95% and 97% for her weight and length and off the charts for her head! She's holding her head up by herself just fine and is starting to be able to hold herself up when she's sitting. She doesn't get a whole lot of time on the floor to play because of the dogs and them really wanting to play with her, but when she is down there, she is rolling onto her side but isn't too interested in going onto her belly... yet she loves to sleep on her belly! She's sleeping about 5 or 6 hours a night now without waking up and we moved her into her room all by herself last night and did great!

More Pictures of Jordyn!

Jordyn had her 1 month check up on Oct 6th - 23 inches, 16 1/4 inch head, and 11lbs 5.5oz! She's doing great and her doctor said she's a 1 month old in a 3 month old's body. She's holding her head up just fine by herself, holding a bottle by herself, and in the last couple days she's started drooling a LOT and chewing on a lot of things and it seems like she MAY be cutting a tooth already! I got my first tooth at 3 months, and she's gonna be 7 weeks tomorrow... I REALLY hope she isn't teething yet though! I'm SO not ready for that yet!!! But I felt her gums and it feels like there MIGHT be something there... Oh no.... :)

Jordyn!

Okay, so I don't have much time (I can't imagine why?!) but here's the info on Jordyn... She was born via c-section on September 4th at 2:37pm - she weighed 9lbs 1 oz and as soon as she came out the doctor looked over the drape at me and laughed while saying "It's a good thing we scheduled this! There is NO WAY she was going to come out any other way! That's one big baby!" Yet none of the nurses all weekend could believe that she was a 9lb baby! She was 20 3/4 inches long and her head was 15 1/4 inches! She is getting so big already, although she never really had that 'newborn' look about her... I was never afraid that I was going to break her! She goes to the doctor on Monday for her 1 month check up!

10 More Days!

Okay, so as soon as I posted the update on Friday the scheduling lady from my doctors office called and said that the doctors are totally booked between the 5th and the 15th.... SOOOOO That means we're having a baby at 1:30pm on Thursday September 4th! Yay!

Only 2 More Weeks!!!

Okay, so I know some of you have been getting on to me about not updating this... but when there really isn't anything going on, what am I supposed to post?! But now that something is going on, I'll let you all know about it!

Yesterday I had a growth ultrasound done (36 weeks and 3 days pregnant) I was kinda confused when some lady I'd never seen before took us back into the u/s room and started doing it... I thought my doctors office only had one u/s tech, Katherine - so I asked and this lady said she was new and still learning. Well after a few minutes Katherine walks in the room, as she walks in she apparently looked at the screen and practically yells "That is quite the head of hair on that baby!" LOL, okay, well, I didn't know you could see hair on an ultrasound but apparently you can! And apparently Jordyn got her Mommy's head of hair, NOT her Daddy's! So a few minutes later they were measuring the fluid around her and there was suddenly a big ol' baby foot in the middle of the screen... I said something about how it looked pretty big, and they were both like "um, yeah, that's a really big foot..." So okay, now we know she has my hair and Colin's feet! As Katherine is measuring her head I'm asking her how big Jordyn really is and she looks at me and says "I'm not sure I want to tell you... Maybe I should wait and let the doctor tell you..." I keep pushing (cuz I'm obnoxious like that!) and she tells me that Jordyn is measuring at 4o weeks already! Later I looked at the screen while she was messing with measurments and stuff and could see that it said she was in the 96th percentile of 40 weeks! That's a BIG baby!

Well, my actual doctors appointment wasn't until 2 hours later so we went and got some lunch and decided over lunch that we've found Bigfoot! I also sent a picture on my cell phone to my mom of the picture of Jordyn's foot and her response was "Call the National Enq. You've got Bigfoot!"

The doctors office that I go to has a bunch of doctors in the practice and I'm supposed to see each one of them at least once so I can meet them - so yesterday I was meeting a new doctor that we hadn't seen yet. She walks in, introduces herself and pretty much starts laughing about how she meets us for the first time and she gets to be the one to have "the discussion" with us. Huh? So she tells us that Jordyn is measuring 7lbs 9oz in the ultrasound! I was only 7lbs 10oz when I was born!!! So she asked me if I had any definate ideas of how I wanted to deliver and I told her sarcastically if she wanted to head to the hospital and get her out right then, I was game! So basically we decided with how big Jordyn already is, we're going to have a planned c-section. My doctors will not "induce" just because of size so it's either wait and see what happens or have a c-section. I have no issues getting cut open to get her out, ESPECIALLY if it makes it happen sooner! So that's what we're doing! She asked us what doctor we wanted to have do it and we said we liked both of the ones we had to choose from so we didn't care and so she said when I go in next week Thursday for my appointment she will have a day, time, and doctor booked and ready for us!

So we're gonna be having our little Miss Jordyn sometime between Sept 5-8... We'll find out this coming week when exactly!

We're Almost There!

So... last week Colin & I got to figure out how to get to the hospital and time how long it takes to get there and such since I ended up having to go in twice! I was in the OB Triage for about 3 hours on Wednesday and then for about 7 hours on Friday... It was just one of those 'scares' that happen when you're pregnant and my doctors office told me to go in both times, so we went! At least now we know that they say everything looks great, we know that the nurses at the hospital are REALLY nice, and we know that our little Jordyn is the most active 25/26 week baby that the nurses have ever heard on a monitor! She sounds like a little horse running around in there! I'm actually seeing my belly jump and move around now, it's really freaky to watch! Poor Colin still can't feel her move because everytime he touches me, she freezes!

Colin & I (mostly Colin) have also been helping out at our church with VBS the last couple weeks. Our church is small enough and new enough that they just do VBS on Sunday mornings during church instead of for a whole week at once. Colin volunteered to do games and I just kinda sit there and watch. He's really looking forward to next week when they get to do the whole diet coke and mentos experiment! That's really what he volunteered for I think! He's having a lot of fun though and we're getting to know some people that live out here FINALLY!

Anyway, other than that, there's not much more going on around here. It's really hot, but what else do you expect in Arizona?! I think I'm gonna go hang out in the freezer isle at Wal-Mart this weekend... :) I'm getting a little freaked out when I think about how soon September is going to be here!

Okay okay, so I'm not so good at keeping this updated... but really, I feel like I should only post things that are interesting that are going on... and Colin & I don't really have that interesting of a life (for now!)

I went to the doctor on the 22nd and had a regular check up and also another ultrasound. Yay! We definately still have a little girl! As soon as the tech had the thingy on my belly she started laughing because every time she's done an ultrasound, the first shot she gets is of our little Jordyn, is of her butt up mooning us! We still didn't get very good printed out pictures because she is so active the tech couldn't get her to sit still and get any good pictures. We've got one that I think she looks like E.T. - Colin's comment was "She looks like her Daddy!" Apparently he thinks so because she's just got a little face and a basketball belly. She is measuring about a week ahead of her actual gestational age and was a pound and a half at the time of the ultrasound. We're slowly getting her room ready and trying to 'baby-proof' the rest of the house.

That's about all from here! Oh, and I really am trying to get around to getting pictures up... I just never let Colin take my picture, so there aren't any to post!

I Jumped on the Bandwagon!

Okay okay... So I FINALLY caved and jumped on the 'blog' bandwagon! We figure that this is the easiest way to keep everyone updated on everything going on since things are changing so fast.

I don't have any 'belly pictures' yet to post, but as of today I am 20 weeks 2 days pregnant. HALF WAY THERE! We found out on 4/16/08 that we are having a little girl. We plan on naming her Jordyn Taylor Boone. Colin was terrified at first because he doesn't want to have to deal with boys, but now he is just super excited. He's having so much fun picking out little girl things at the stores and coming up with all of the 'Daddy & Daughter' bonding things that he wants to do with her!

As some of you know, I'm working for our Home Owners Association as a pool monitor (I sit by the pool and check to make sure swimmers are residents... tough tough tough...). Well, since I work until 10pm most nights that I work, Colin comes out and swims once it gets dark and then walks home with me (so sweet!) He's having a lot of fun 'preparing' for his future, he plays with the little kids in the pool all the time, and all the little girls tend to gravitate towards him and LOVE playing with him. It's fun to watch him having so much fun with them!

I go back to the doctor on Wednesday for another check up... hopefully everything is still happy and healthy!
